Given the following Statement…

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or
prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech,
or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to
petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Why is it acceptable for a politician to invoke the name of a deity at a
political rally?

That philosophy 'snipit' helped to get me, and my crew, through a good
many combat missions and far too many scary, inflight, emergencies.

almost every media turn.

Why is it acceptable for a politician to invoke the name of a deity at a
political rally?

It is legal to do so.

However, it's completely unethical to exploit ignorant people who have so
much fear, so much need for divine intervention, and so much hatred that
they think their religion is so weak their government must enforce it for
them.

We need an educated electorate who understands that we can achieve the very
best religions, and governments, when we keep them separate. But educating
our miserable excuse for an electorate is very difficult at political
rallies, where simply pandering to their fear is too damned easy!

Why is it acceptable for

any government entity to purchase any product with a kosher trademark?
any government entity to open a session with a prayer?
any government entity to determine tax status based on religion?
